Description: An evergreen straggler producing purplish pink to violet flowers with shining green leaves. This species has thin, arching, twining woody branches. The bark of this plant is light brown, with yellow-green younger branches. A milky sap that causes itching and irritation when broken all parts including flowers. The leaves are elliptical in shape, slightly fuzzy, green to yellow-green and appear opposite to one another on the stems. Flowering all throughout the year. 

Habitat:  Commonly grown in gardens throughout the tropics.

Distribution: Tropical and subtropical areas of many countries

Uses: A major component in almost all gardens.
