Description:

Coccoloba uvifera, also called sea grape, is a coastal plant with large, round leaves and clusters of small, edible purple fruits, commonly found along tropical and subtropical beaches.

Habitat: Large evergreen shrub, often found growing along sandy beaches and coastal dunes.

Distribution: Caribbean islands, Central America, and northern South America.

Uses: Coccoloba uvifera, is used for its edible fruit and as a coastal landscaping plant for its ornamental value and ability to withstand salt spray.
