Description:

Mimusops elengi is a flowering tree with fragrant white flowers and small, oval-shaped fruits, commonly known as “Spanish cherry” or “bullet wood.

Habitat: Semi-evergreen and Evergreen forests, also grown in homesteads.

Distribution: Indian subcontinent, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Myanmar, as well as Northern Australia.

Uses: Mimusops elengi is used in traditional medicine for treating various ailments such as dental problems, digestive issues, and skin conditions.
