Evolution of the Department:
The Department of Commerce, established in 2005, began its journey with a singular stream in commerce, embodying the institution’s commitment to delivering quality education and fostering academic excellence. In its early years, the department operated with a focussed curriculum, catering to the core principles of commerce . The department gradually introduced new streams to its curriculum which allowed the department to cater to a broader range of interests and career aspirations among students. Each new stream was thoughtfully adopted to provide specialized knowledge and skills, aligning with the changing demand of the business world and the global economy. The evolution of the department of commerce from a single stream to a multi-disciplinary department reflects the journey of continuous growth, adaptation and a relentless pursuit of educational excellence.
Today the Department of Commerce has grown significantly , now offering six undergraduate courses and one postgraduate course.
