It is a highly adaptable bird native to South Asia, easily recognizable by its brown body, black head, and distinctive yellow eye patches and legs. This is a highly vociferous bird with varied calls. The Common Myna often mimics sounds from its environment. Earlier people used to domesticate this bird for its ability to mimic even humans. It thrives in urban and suburban areas, feeding on a diverse diet of insects, fruits, and human food scraps. This bird is highly social and can often be seen in pairs or small flocks. It nests in cavities, such as tree holes or buildings. The Common Myna’s adaptability and opportunistic feeding habits have contributed to its status as an invasive species in many parts of the world
