Greater Rocket-Tailed Drongo Dicrurus paradiseus

The Great Rocket-tailed Drongo, also known as the Greater Racket-Tailed Drongo, is a striking bird known for its glossy black plumage and long, racket-shaped tail feathers. Found in forests and open woodland across South and Southeast Asia, this drongo is a skilled mimic who can imitate various sounds including other birds, animals (e.g. cat), motor, etc. It is a highly territorial and aggressive bird, frequently seen chasing away larger birds. This species feeds on insects, small birds, and fruits, often foraging in mixed-species flocks. The Great Rocket-tailed Drongo fly with aerial acrobatics.
