Little Spiderhunter Arachnothera longirostra

Little Spiderhunter Arachnothera longirostra

The Little Spiderhunter is a small bird found in the forests and gardens of South and Southeast Asia. It has a distinctive long, curved bill adapted for feeding on nectar and small insects. The plumage is primarily olive-green with a lighter underside. This bird is known for its rapid, hovering flight as it feeds from flowers, playing an important role in pollination. Little Spiderhunters often build small, cup-shaped nests on the underside of leaves. They are typically solitary or found in pairs, and their high-pitched calls are a common sound in their habitats. This bird species is a good pollinator as well.
