Rose-Ringed Parakeet Psittacula krameria

The Rose-ringed Parakeet, also known as the Ring-necked Parakeet, is a medium-sized parrot found in Africa and South Asia. It may be identified by its bright green plumage, long tail, and the distinctive rose-colored ring around the neck of males. These parakeets are highly social and often found in large flocks, especially in urban areas where they feed on fruits, seeds, and grains. They are known for their loud, screeching calls and acrobatic flight. Rose-ringed Parakeets nest in tree cavities and are highly adaptable, often thriving in city parks and gardens.
