Description:

This is a tree with vibrant red flowers that hang down in long clusters, native to tropical regions. Leaves are green, paripinnate, measuring about 30 – 60cm long, each leaf has about 6 – 8leaflets oblong to ovate-oblong in shape measuring about 14 – 34 cm long and 5.5 – 8.5 cm wide, young leaves pendent and pinkish coppery in colour that are attractive.

Habitat: Tropical tree

Distribution: Myanmar to Thailand.

Uses: This species is often grown for its beautiful flowers and ornamental value in gardens and parks. Usually planted as an avenue tree as well.
