Description: Asparagus racemosus, commonly known as Shatavari, is a perennial herb native to India, Sri Lanka, and the Himalayas. It features climbing stems, needle-like leaves, and small white flowers. Shatavari’s root is highly valued in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for its potential benefits on women’s reproductive health, vitality, and digestion. It is often consumed in various forms, including dried, powdered, or as decoctions, tinctures, and extracts.

Habitat:  Throughout the tropics common in the plains from the coast, in scrub jungle, hill slopes, forest borders, fallow lands.

Distribution: Southern Asia, including the Indian subcontinent, to northern Australia.

Uses: Medicinal, is used to support women’s reproductive health, aid digestion, reduce stress, boost the immune system, and promote overall wellness.
