Description:
Butea monosperma, commonly called flame of the forest, is a tree known for its vibrant red or orange flowers and medicinal properties.
Habitat: A medium sized tree growing wild in greater parts of India , Burma and Sri Lanka.
Distribution: Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam. China, Papua New Guinea. Native
Uses: Butea monosperma is used in traditional medicine for treating various ailments, and its flowers are also used to make natural dyes.
