Distribution: Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam. China, Papua New Guinea. Native

Uses: Butea monosperma is used in traditional medicine for treating various ailments, and its flowers are also used to make natural dyes.
