Careya arborea is a tree with broad leaves and large, round fruits, commonly known as the “Patana oak” or “Wild guava.”

Habitat: A medium sized deciduous tree.

Distribution: India, Sri Lanka, Malay Peninsula, Cambodia, and Australia.

Uses: Careya arborea is used for its timber and various parts of the tree are utilized in traditional medicine for treating ailments such as diarrhea and skin diseases.
