Description:
It is characterized by its glossy, dark green leaves with serrated edges and small, white, bell-shaped flowers that bloom in clusters. The tree bears small green fruits that are edible and often used in traditional medicine.
Habitat: Evergreen and Semi-Evergreen forests, also in the plain.
Distribution: Eastern Asia and the Pacific region.
Uses: Used in traditional medicine for its purported medicinal properties. It possesses anti diarrhoeal, analgesic, antidiabetic and anti-arthriticactivity.
