Description: A large woody climber with young branches, leaves and inflorescence densely rusty tomentose. Leaves 4-8cm long and 2-5cm wide, broadly elliptic or elliptic-obovate, base rounded. Inflorescence leaf axillary and terminal cymose panicles. Flowers are white in colour with about 0.6-0.8cm across, fragrant. Fruit is a berry with 6-8cm long and 3-3.5cm wide, ovoid or ellipsoid shape.

 

Distribution:  India, Sri Lanka and Andaman Islands.

Uses: Used in several traditional medicinal practices across India.
