Description: A small evergreen tree that grow up to 10m in height. Leaves are simple, opposite. Inflorescence is a cyme born on the leafless branches or in the leaf axils. Flowers are white with many long stamens. Fruit is a berry, orange-colored, and have sour flesh with two to four large seeds.
Distribution: Cultivated in many countries.
Uses: Fruit is edible. Fruit has a very succulent, aromatic pulp with an acidic flavour, popular as a tasty flavoring for juices, and to make delicious jams. The fruit is rich in antioxidants, copper, magnesium and vitamin C.
