Description:
A tree with a rounded crown that grows from 4.5 to 7.6 m in height. The leaves are large (15.4-30.5 cm in length) and leathery and are oblong to lance shaped.
Habitat: Warm, humid forests and coastal areas
Distribution: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam
Uses: Food (Fruit or Vegetable): The fruits are used to make vinegar, preserves and jams. Medicinal: The dried fruits are used in treating vomiting. Others: The latex is used for dyeing.
