Description:

Nephelium lappaceum, commonly known as rambutan, is a tropical fruit with a hairy red or yellow skin and a sweet, juicy flesh surrounding a large seed.

Habitat: Evergreen tree.

Distribution: Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, the Philippines.

Uses: Nephelium lappaceum, is enjoyed fresh as a sweet and juicy snack or used in various desserts and fruit salads.
