Description:

Synsepalum dulcificum, commonly known as the miracle fruit, is a small tropical plant with red berries that contain a protein called miraculin. When eaten, miraculin temporarily changes taste perception, making sour foods taste sweet.

Habitat: A tropical evergreen shrub or small tree.

Distribution: Tropical west and central Africa.

Uses: Oranamental Plant.
